Wrinkle fillers (or simply fillers) are often injected to create balance and restore a youthful appearance. Fillers are an effective, minimally invasive alternative for men and women desiring to even out fine lines, sagging skin, and/or wrinkles in order to create a younger-looking face. They can also be added to other aesthetic treatments to provide the benefits of a traditional facelift without going under the knife. Washington Skin Solutions offers JUVÉDERM®, RHA®, and Restylane® injections. To decide which injectable fillers are right for you, we invite you to visit Washington Skin Solutions where registered nurse Nikki Brueggemann can help you make this decision.

Injectable dermal fillers can treat several different concerns and provide several benefits for Washington, MO individuals, such as:

  • Rejuvenating and plumping regions that are hollow or flat
  • Improving your confidence in your skin and total aesthetic
  • Enhancing facial softness to achieve your optimal face structure
  • Smoothing out regions with loose skin or creases

The best candidates for dermal fillers would be anyone seeking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without having a surgical facelift. Typically, individuals with significant signs of aging or who have recently lost a significant amount of weight have areas on their face that lack volume and shape. These attributes make them great contenders for injectable fillers. Fillers are also a great option for those who do not want to risk the scarring that can occur following a surgical facelift.

Before your injection procedure, our team will meet with you to learn more about your expectations and decide which product may best produce them. At the time of the actual procedure, we will numb the area to make the injections as comfortable as possible. We will use our experience to determine the amount of filler necessary and will gradually and evenly inject it via a very fine needle. Keeping the desired result in mind, we may use multiple syringes during the procedure.

I had a dermaplane and micro done by Natalie yesterday. This was the best treatment I've ever received. She was so kind, took her time, and spoiled my skin through the process. looking forward to my next appointment!

What Can I Expect After Dermal Fillers?

Injectable fillers are performed as an in-office procedure in a very short amount of time. Due to the numbing agents, the process is typically only mildly uncomfortable and does not require downtime. You can expect swelling or bruising initially, but these symptoms should dissipate within a few short days. Results can last from three months to a full year based on the product and the area of injection. To maintain optimal results, Nikki may recommend touch-ups.

How do I know which injectable filler is right for me?
The type of dermal filler chosen for you will depend on the area being treated and your desired result. Depending on whether you would like to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or you want to create a more voluminous look, your injector will listen to your goals before determining the correct filler for you. Because there are so many dermal fillers, it may be difficult to pick which one is better for your needs and goals, but our team of aesthetic professionals will help to ensure you experience natural-looking results and a rejuvenated look.
What is the difference between wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers?
Wrinkle relaxers, such as BOTOX®, treat dynamic wrinkles (especially on the brow and near the eyes) by limiting the movement of the underlying muscles. Dermal fillers restore volume to fill in wrinkles, fine lines, and certain types of scars. Dermal fillers may also be used to add more volume to your cheeks and lips and reduce the appearance of aging on the hands.
How long will the results last?
The lasting nature of your results will depend on what brand of filler is used and the area(s) treated. For some people, improvements may last for a year, while others might want another treatment after a few months. Touch-up treatments are available at our practice in order to sustain your results.
