Our Microneedling Technique
A Rejuvapen microneedling treatment is performed in a private treatment room for around 30 – 60 minutes with numbing cream to ease discomfort. What Can I Expect After Microneedling?
After your treatment, you may have light redness and swelling for about one day, but this should subside quickly on its own. It may take around 1 – 2 months as the elastin and collagen supply increases until you notice significant improvements in the health and appearance of your treated skin. Most patients receive 3 – 6 Rejuvapen treatments to see their best results. However, the number of treatments you require will depend on your skin's condition and personal aesthetic goals. Microneedling may be performed every 4 – 6 weeks. during your consultation, Nikki Brueggemann can estimate how many treatments you might want based on your skin and goals. When your skin goals are reached, Nikki Brueggemann could suggest scheduling maintenance treatments about twice a year.
Is microneedling safe for everyone?
For the most part, microneedling is appropriate for all skin types and tones. Skin injuries created by microneedling are so minor that there are usually limited or no side effects after the treatment. Microneedling can be performed on most areas of skin, including the arms, face, neck, chest, and legs. Microneedling is not recommended if you have been on Accutane within the last 2 – 3 months, or if you have an active skin infection, the herpes simplex virus, or an open wound. Additionally, you may not be able to get microneedling if you are nursing, pregnant, or undergoing radiation therapy.
